ABOUT ALOFILAB

A community project

ALOFILAB (a lo-fi laboratory) is a community of photography enthusiasts who collaboratively explore photography and videography techniques. We have DIY darkroom, workshop and exhibition spaces as well as analog photography equipment that is free to use for members of the community. At the end of 2023 we lost our permanent space at STPLN, due to a change in Malmö Stad's plans for the space. We are looking for a new permanent home, and in the interrim we have a location to run regular events. You can find more details on our Schedule page.

OPEN TO ALL

Alofilab is run by volunteers, and is generally free to join. We charge only where necessary to cover costs, if you use our chemicals or print papers etc. But turning up and participating will generally cost you nothing. If you are interested to join us, please check out our Schedule page for events. Alternatively just message us on Instagram, or add yourself to our WhatsApp group chat, using the social links on the bottom of the page.
